Cheezio Mashed Potatoes
Transform your traditional mashed potatoes into a creamy, comforting delight with our Cheezio Mashed Potatoes recipe. In just 30 minutes, you can enjoy the smooth, velvety texture of Yukon Gold potatoes, blended perfectly with our unique Cheezio seasoning. The dish is enriched with butter and a choice of half & half or dairy-free cream, creating a harmonious balance of flavors. Garnished with freshly chopped herbs like chives or parsley, and a hint of freshly ground black pepper, this dish is not just a side, but a highlight of any meal.
- 5 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut in large chunks
- 1 tsp of sea salt
- 8 tbsp (½ cup) butter, vegan or regular unsalted
- ¾ cup half & half or dairy-free cream or milk
- Freshly chopped herbs, like chives or parsley
- Freshly ground black pepper
Cover potatoes with 1-2 inches of water in a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, add salt and cook potatoes until tender, about 20-30 minutes.
When potatoes are tender, drain potatoes and return them to the same pot.
Using a potato masher or large whisk, mash potatoes just until fluffy. Resist the urge to over-mash!
With a spatula, fold in Cheezio seasoning, butter and half & half. Taste for more Cheezio, butter or cream.
To serve, sprinkle with fresh herbs, freshly ground pepper, and salt to taste.
