Cheezio Chicken Tenders
12 chicken tenders
- 1 cup of plain panko breadcrumbs
1 packet of Cheezio Pepe Seasoning
2 eggs, beaten
Olive oil spray
Optional garnishes: dipping sauce of your choice, lemon wedges, and chopped parsley.
Pat your chicken strips dry with a paper towel.
Add the breadcrumbs and Cheezio Pepe seasoning into the blender and blend until the breadcrumbs are broken up into very small pieces, almost like a powder.
Create the dredging stations: you will need 2 shallow bowls- one for the beaten eggs and in the other the Cheezio Pepe / breadcrumb mixture.
Dip each chicken tender in the beaten egg and then coat in the Cheezio mixture, making sure you press gently around the tender so that the crumbs stick. Set aside on a platter or cutting board while you dredge each tender one by one.
Spray both sides of each chicken tenders with the olive oil spray.
Place chicken tenders into the air fryer basket, making sure you don't overcrowd them. Cook them in batches if needed.
Cook chicken 5 minutes at 400° F on each side until fully cooked and golden brown crispy.
Serve with dipping sauce of your choice, parsley, and lemon wedges.
